SIXTH WEEK Of My On the-Job-Training
MARCH 6 -MARCH 10, 2023
SIXTH WEEK | First Day to Second Day
MARCH 6 - MARCH 7
Taken March 06, 2023: Sixth week | first to second day of OJT. Library visit to find related studies and literature assigned by our supervisor.
As tasked by our supervisor, Dr. Lorino, we have been assigned to find three related studies or literature concerning any water district customer's satisfaction survey. These related studies or literature will be utilized for the research currently conducted within the office entitled "Assessment of LCWD Performance and Service Delivery."
Initially, we looked for references in the library. However, we encountered some difficulties finding the appropriate materials. Subsequently, we were instructed to utilize the BU iLib, a website that grants us access to the Bicol University Library contents. We gathered several articles but are only required to choose three. In selecting the materials, we have been advised to consider if it contains a brief description of the program or project, objectives, review of literature, scientific basis or theoretical or conceptual framework, methodology, expected output or outcome.
SIXTH WEEK | 3rd Day
MARCH 8
As an intern at BU Open University, we had the distinct honor of participating in the reception of the ninth president of Bicol University. In our capacity as a member of the open university, we enthusiastically joined our colleagues in extending a warm welcome to the newly elected head of the institution.
During the parade held in honor of the occasion, we proudly held the welcome banner alongside our fellow team members. Moreover, we were entrusted with the responsibility of holding the gift to the distinguished president, which we fulfilled with great pleasure.
It was an experience that will forever be etched in our memory, as we had the opportunity to witness firsthand the collective efforts of the university community in welcoming its leader.
Regrettably, we were unable to capture images of ourselves during the parade. However, we would like to share some photos taken after the procession, where we can be seen gathered together in our designated kiosk, savoring the sumptuous catering prepared for the occasion.
As we indulged in the delectable food, we were serenaded by the melodious tunes of the band, adding to the festive atmosphere of the welcoming party. It was an opportunity for us to bond with our colleagues and celebrate the arrival of the newly elected president of Bicol University.
Despite the absence of pictures from the parade, we are glad to have these photos as a memento of this memorable occasion. It was a joyous celebration of unity and camaraderie among the university community, and we are grateful to have been a part of it.
UPDATE:
I am pleased to provide an update that we were able to borrow the DSLR camera that was used during the parade, and access the images that were captured. We were delighted to discover that there were some photos of us, the interns, included in the camera's memory.
Upon viewing the photos, we were able to see ourselves holding the welcome banner and gifts. We are grateful for the opportunity to have been involved in such a significant event for the university, and we appreciate the efforts taken to retrieve the photos of us during the parade. These photos serve as a testament to our commitment to the institution and the pride we feel in being a part of the BU Open University community.
SIXTH WEEK | Fourth Day to Fifth Day
MARCH 9 - MARCH 10
Photos Take on March 9: 25% ..... Designing Bicol University's website banners on Photopea. Disclaimer: Image uploaded is a work in progress. Final design for Bicol University's website banners will be uploaded soon.
I have been assigned the task by Sir Rollie to undertake the redesign of the three photo banners featured on the official website of BU Open University. The banners have become outdated and require updating to reflect the current standards of the institution. As a graphic designer, I am excited to take on this challenge.
However, I have encountered a hurdle in that the computer provided in the office does not have access to the Photoshop application. To circumvent this obstacle, I have opted to utilize Photopea, an online platform that is comparable to Photoshop in terms of functionality.
