SECOND WEEK | First Day


Taken February 6, 2023: Second week | first day of OJT. I was tasked to transcribe Bicol University Open University's online admission system YouTube video for a detailed step-by-step guide for students.

    I was given a task by Prof. Rollie Montealegre to transcribe a YouTube video produced by the Bicol University Open University. This video pertains to the university's online admission system, and my goal is to provide a clear and systematic step-by-step guide for future students and applicants. The purpose of this transcript is to help simplify and streamline the admission process by providing a comprehensive guide on how to use the online admission system effectively. 

    It is crucial for universities to offer efficient and user-friendly systems for students to apply for admission. The online admission system offered by Bicol University Open University is a prime example of this, as it provides applicants with a convenient and straightforward method to apply for admission. The video provides an overview of the features and functionalities of the system, and my aim is to transcribe these important details in a comprehensive and easy-to-follow manner.

    By providing this detailed transcript, I hope to assist future applicants and students in their journey towards obtaining an education at Bicol University Open University. By utilizing the online admission system, they can experience a smooth and hassle-free application process and focus on their academic pursuits.

 

SECOND WEEK | Second to Fourth Day


Taken February 9, 2023: Second week | second  to fourth day of OJT. Assigned Task: Incorporating New Course Codes into Student Records of College Departments in Excel and Ensuring Email Validity - Processing Thousands of Entries.


    During the second week of the year, from the 2nd to the 4th day, We're given the responsibility of updating the newly implemented course code from the BU-Lib Information System into an Excel spreadsheet, containing the information of every student from each of the following college departments: BUCM, BUCAL, IPSER, BUCAF, BUTC, BUPC, BUCS, BUCBEM, BUCSSP, BUCENG, BUIDEA, BUGC, BUCIT, BUJMRIGD, and BUCN. It was emphasized that we exercise extreme caution while conducting the update, to avoid any errors in the process. Furthermore, we were also tasked with validating the email addresses of each and every student, to guarantee their authenticity. The process was quite time-consuming as we had to go through the information of thousands of students from different departments.

SECOND WEEK | Fifth Day


Taken February 10, 2023: Second week | fifth day of OJT. I was tasked to redo the cable management of every computer in the Office.

     On the final day of the week, I was assigned the task of reorganizing the cable management for each computer within the office. Although there were a total of 15 computers, I was only able to attend to half of them due to time constraints. I have been instructed to complete the task by Monday of the following week. This task is crucial, as it not only enhances the overall appearance of the office but also ensures the safety and functionality of the computer systems. Proper cable management not only helps to prevent accidents, but it also promotes a more organized and efficient work environment. I am committed to ensuring that the task is completed according to the expectations set forth.

  TWELFTH WEEK  Of My On the-Job-Training APRIL 17 -APRIL 20, 2023 TWELFTH WEEK  | First Day to Fifth day APRIL 17 -APRIL 20, 2023      At the start of the week, I commenced my usual office tasks, which involved providing assistance to faculty members with their computer-related concerns. These issues varied from formatting Excel sheet functions and resolving network connectivity problems to basic printing jobs.     However, d uring the next three days, we were assigned by Sir Ramon – one of the BUOU faculty – to be Technical Support for a three-day International Webinar on Organization's Resiliency, Inclusivity, and Sustainability towards ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance).
