THIRD WEEK Of My On the-Job-Training
FEB 13 -FEB 17, 2023
THIRD WEEK | First Day to Third Day
FEB 13 -FEB 15, 2023
During our third week of On-the-Job Training (OJT), our supervisor assigned us a challenging yet exciting task to showcase our creativity and presentation skills. We were asked to create an interactive PowerPoint presentation of the roadmap of Bicol University Open University using Microsoft PowerPoint. The presentation should be visually appealing and must include all the necessary information regarding the journey, history, achievements, and important events of the Open University.
In order to make the presentation more engaging and interactive, we were given the task to create hyperlinks and animations for every date and important event in the presentation, as if the viewer is taking a journey through the history of the Open University. We aimed to make the presentation as if the viewer was travelling through time, and every click on the dates or events in the presentation will take them to a different destination, each with its own unique story to tell.
Our team worked hard on creating this presentation, carefully selecting the most relevant and interesting information to include, as well as ensuring that the presentation was visually appealing and easy to navigate. We were also careful to ensure that the hyperlinks and animations we created worked seamlessly to enhance the viewer's experience.
We were informed that this presentation would be used during the presentation of the Manual of Operations of the Open University, so we made sure to carefully review and refine our work to ensure it met the high standards set by our supervisor.
THIRD WEEK | 4th Day
FEB 16, 2023
Taken February 16, 2023: Third week | fourth day of OJT. We are tasked to continue the compilation of the new and remaining certificates.
As we continue with our On-the-Job Training , we were once again tasked with compiling the remaining certificates of Dr. Lorino, our supervisor and the Dean of the Open University. This task was a follow-up to the one we completed during the earlier stages of our training where we compiled the existing certificates that were in our supervisor's possession.
We decided to utilize again Google Sheets to work synchronously and collaboratively. This allowed us to work on the same document at the same time. It was also a more efficient way to work as we were able to make changes and updates in real-time.
We gathered all the remaining certificates that were not included in our first work and began to organize them systematically. We created separate folders for each type of certificate, such as academic achievements, awards, and professional certifications. We also made sure to add relevant details to each certificate such as the date of issuance and the authority that issued it.
As we worked on this task, we realized that our previous work had laid a solid foundation for this task. It made it easier for us to identify any duplicates or missing certificates, which we were able to rectify quickly. After several hours of work, we were able to complete the task and present the final product to our supervisor.
Overall, this task taught us the value of attention to detail and effective organization skills. It also demonstrated how collaboration and the use of technology can help us work efficiently and effectively, even when working remotely. We were grateful for the opportunity to work on this task and were proud of the outcome of our efforts.
THIRD WEEK | 5th Day
FEB 17, 2023
Taken February 17, 2023: Third week | fifth day of OJT. After compiling the remaining certificates, we were tasked with printing them out and conducting a thorough recheck.
As we printed out the spreadsheet, we immediately noticed some typos and errors in the details. It was imperative that we correct these errors as we proceeded with the task, to avoid any issues or discrepancies. We carefully reviewed each spreadsheet contents, comparing the printed copy to the original certificate.
We ensured that all the details were correct and accurate, and that there were no missing or duplicated certificates. We took our time and double-checked everything to make sure that we didn't miss any mistakes. We noted down any errors that we found and made the necessary corrections. We communicated with each other and discussed any discrepancies to make sure that we were all on the same page.
Once we were satisfied that we had made all the necessary corrections, we rechecked everything once again before presenting it to our supervisor.
In the end, we were proud of our work and grateful for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in handling important documents such as these certificates. This task taught us the value of accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication, which are skills that will undoubtedly benefit us in our future careers.
